There is one thing worse than an Enbloc ----- and that is an Enbloc done badly. Since the majority have the necessary mandate to sell, then they owe it to all SPs to make a success of it. Minority SPs can only watch and wait, if they sell then lets pray it's at a price we can move on with, if they don't sell, then we are happy to stay for a few more years.

TAMPINES COURT MINORITY WIN

Today, the STB Deputy President, Mr. Alphonso Ang, gave the following decision for Tampines Court:-

So, we the minority won on the merits of the case..

A huge thank you goes out to our wonderful legal team:-

To Siva Krishnasamy of Tan Lee & Partners who endured with endless patience, 14 months of emails, sms's and telephone calls from a bunch of housewives, and who gave up many evenings to come and talk with our ever hopeful group. We are forever grateful for his dedication to our cause, his astute legal advice and his genuine affinity for our group . Without him we would not have won. Who together with Mr. Sreenivasan put our case together and saw it through to the end.

To Mr. Sreenivasan of StraitsLaw, our counsel at the STB, who wowed us with his inimitable and flawless, cross-examination style, who ran circles around the opposition before coming to incontrovertible, logical conclusions. Better than anything you ever saw on tv!
.
You saved our homes, a big thank you to you both.

I must thank the Minority SP and their lawyers for putting up such a good fight!

    Well Done! Bravo!

My faith in STB is indeed correct!

Last but not least, my special thanks go out to "itshometome" for creating such an up-to-date website to keep everybody informed about the going-on despite the purposeful blackout of news from the Sales Committee.

Thanks once again to each and every one who had contributed to the WIN!

P.S. Most importantly, it is time to be more neighbourly and friendly to each other from now onwards.

  4. Fix it! Or if it is really the roof, them the MCST will have to go about doing those repairs that have been neglected in the past 2 years.

congrats and once again i have to say that i am happy for all. You have won due to the beta sum issue that had many confused. to itshometome now is the time to put things to perspective and get the houses here valued for 500psf as in the blogs. yes some are happy but we will be living in a neighbourhood of people who still are a majority who wanted the enbloc to go through. With respect to the roof leakage and pavements let us now take to task the people who had it repaired and question as to why it had not even lasted for e mere 4 years. We know of hdb repairs that were done that had lasted for 10years. I believe the present mc have only been in office for 2 years. So lets not bask in glory and forget the number of people who are now feeling lousy. Lets be honest the judges did a good so now let us see if the estate willl ever return to the same. I really doubt it but lets try. hope u do publish this as an unbiased response.
